- The Context -
The conflict started by Russia's invasion of Ukraine has already continued for more than half a year, claiming nearly two thousand civilian lives and causing nearly 11.5 million refugees to flee to neighboring countries. The Ukrainian army and people have shown incredible tenacity and perseverance and their success in defending the cities of Kyiv and Kharkiv and starting offensive near the city of Izyum.

The displaced refugees are in need of supplies, shelter, and encouragement as their country is torn apart by ruthless and unprovoked attacks and they live in constant fear of air raids and ground attacks.
MH Hope is supporting several charities that are donating toys, art supplies, inspirational cards, and money to both refugees leaving Ukraine and those still in the country.

are available for sale; all proceeds go to the Ukraine Drives!
Kindness Cards
are available for decoration at HOPE Club meetings on Tuesday afternoons in Room 216!

Where are the donations going?
MH Hope has currently partnered with two organizations working to aid Ukraine.
We are helping out Funny Bunny, a kindergarten in Lviv, which is trying very hard to create a loving and happy atmosphere for their students through lessons in art, music, and English. The kindergarten does not turn away any students, despite many parents not being able to pay the tuition. Because supply collection and distribution in Ukraine is currently very difficult, MH HOPE is collecting educational and art materials for them to use, as well as toys and books.
Currently, Funny Bunny is in need of kindergarten-sized Halloween Costumes to help the children celebrate this fun holiday!
All monetary donations go toward shipping expenses and purchasing tactical military equipment for Ukrainian fighters on the front lines, one soldier at a time.

Exciting Update!
The money and effort we have put into our Ukraine drives has paid off! Recently the soldier we were equipping has obtained the military uniform we have sent to him!

Important Update
On August 15, 2023 Russia attacked Lviv with 7 cruise missiles. Only one was shot down, but the rest landed in the city, including four in the vicinity of “Funny Bunny”, heavily damaging the kindergarten.
