Everything you Should Plan for in the Next Three Weeks
This is everything (or mostly everything) you should plan for in the next three weeks. This week for Operation Holiday Child (October 17-21) we are collecting new unisex solid colored t-shirts, new boxes of markers, new card games and new small or about 3x5 inch notebooks, please remember to sign your items in to receive points for donating them, remember 1 point per item. Tomorrow October 18 we will meet before school at 7 AM for gardening, every garden meeting is always 2 points. Wednesday October 19th we have a general meeting featuring guest speaker Mrs. Perry to speak to us about mental health. Remember all general meetings are 1 point but we almost always have an activity or reason to give everyone who attends and participates an additional point, making it usually 2 points per general meeting. Reminder that all field trip forms for the FARE Walk are due by this Thursday October 20th. The FARE Walk is this Saturday October 22nd from 11 AM to probably around 2-3 PM. We will meet in front of Morris Hills at 10:45 AM and leave at 11 AM. The FARE Walk is worth 5 points and if you attended the Hunger Walk you received 5 points for that as well.
Next week for Operation Holiday Child (October 24-28) we are collecting new mini calculators, new mini flashlights, along with a continuation of collecting new card games and new jump ropes. Please donate and sign in your items to receive your points. We are also planning for an officer meeting on Monday the 24th if you would like to attend to be the "outside point of view" you will receive 1 point for this. We will also schedule a morning garden meeting either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, look out for exact date. Then we will hold a general meeting on Wednesday November 2 after school. We will be writing letters to Veterans and have Marek come speak to us about TI. He is a senior from the Academy, who is the president of the Teen Institute for Wharton, Rockaway Township, Rockaway Boro, and Denville students in high school grades 9-12. More information about our hope connection to TI will be posted on a later date.
