Meeting 10/19
Okay Marlin's face in this GIF is filled with frustration and I hope you all didn't feel like he does in this GIF about this blog post being an entire day late. But I thought this GIF was a good connection to our meeting yesterday about mental health (just because Hazel and I love Disney isn't the reason why I picked this GIF, yes this is the second Dory GIF from Finding Nemo I have used) and since Marlin is sad and wants to give up, Dory inspires him to keep going, that things will get better. We learned yesterday that depression is a serious thing and that if you know anyone who is suicidal you should tell an adult to get your friend help immediately.
At yesterday's meeting we did a quick overview of current events and then Mrs. Perry spoke about depression and suicide for the rest of the meeting. We learned a lot and somehow the meeting ended a little earlier than usual. Then we realized that we are in desperate need of can shakes. We do not have enough money to buy the balls and pump sets for OHC or pay for the $7 shipping per box. So there has been a can shake set up for tomorrow at QuikCheck from 4 PM to 6 PM. This is our second can shake of the year and the first one along with this one have both been at QuikCheck. But they only allow us to do two can shakes a year at their location so we have to find a different location for all other can shakes for this year.
I hope that all who attended the meeting on Wednesday enjoyed learning about mental health and those attending the FARE Walk this Saturday are excited! Remember to meet in front of Morris Hills at 10:45 AM on Saturday! See you then!
