The Knights Before Christmas
Hi Guys. Sorry this is a bit late. Its been taking me a while to come up with a clever title. But I think I finally did!
On Wednesday November 9th, we had a general meeting where a whopping total of 35 people attended. Thank you to those who attended this meeting and helped make Operation Holiday Child a great success.
Like Santa and his elves, this year, we too also created an assembly line where pairs would line up with a box that they would fill with there own creativity. Along the assembly line we had boxes filled with donated shirts, toothbrushes, combs, brushes, socks, pencils, flashlights jump-ropes and much more. Each pair chose from the variety of items available and created a box which was an expression of themselves. At the end of the assembly line, they would fill their box with 4 deflated sports ball and a pump and to top it all off, they added a heat-warming Christmas letter on top. While walking around, I saw so many cool boxes. There was one group I distinctly remember folding their note into the shape of a bird. Other people matched the colors of the items to the color of the wrapping paper.
As we wrapped up our meeting, we recorded inventory and counted:
Thank you again to all of the people who helped out and made a memorable Christmas for a few children. See you all in December for our next general meeting!
