Bake Sale for Matheny

Our hopes of snow came on January 31, 2017. The only day we all did not want snow. So the boys basketball hills vs. knolls game was moved to the next day. Our bake sale for Matheny ended up being on February 1, 2017 instead from 3 pm to 9 pm. Sadly I did not take any photos, those cupcakes pictured above are from a photo free from wix. We raised $200 for Matheny, which is a school for special needs children and adults. Aakriti volunteers there and is why we chose to have the bake sale for them. This was our third annual bake sale and the first one not for Angelina.

We had plans to have a table cloth, napkins and plates, but they were in the basement. When we got into the basement we found all of our belongings were locked in a cage. After Sohil and I walked around the whole school talking to every administrator, janitor and secretary we decided getting our stuff out was hopeless. Not a single person had the key to unlock the cages with our stuff in it. Some members still had hope and after disappearing for awhile they came back. I then followed Matt, Brooke, Lexi and Jason back into the basement and we found that Matt had asked a janitor for a tool to take the screws out of the cage. This opened the door and we pulled out all of our stuff. This created a problem of having to figure out how to lock the cage now that it was unlocked. We could only lock it again by having someone in the inside and since there is no key, we left it open. We told administration and they were okay with what happened. Our belongings must stay outside of the cages and must not be in them ever again. Which is perfectly fine with all of us.
