Time to Start!!

Alright! So next week (AKA upcoming Tuesday) when we have our HOPE club meeting, we will (finally) begin gardening! This kind of long overdue but the schedule has been hectic lately so...

I complied the list of what we’ll be planting, just in general, which is below :)

Tomato

We’ll start these at the meeting!

Herbs

The kitchen box/staircase/whatever is slightly damaged so we’re going to wait and see if it can be fixed before we make any solid plans about herbs.

Pepper

We’ll start these at the meeting!

Swiss Chard

These are at a later time so we’ll plant them at the April 3 meeting.

Lettuce

We’ll start these at the meeting!

Turnips

These are best planted in the ground so we’ll wait for later.

Celery

We’ll start these at the meeting! Celery has really small seeds so it was suggested in an article to mix them with sand, put that mixture on the potting soil, and put a thin layer of soil over that since they prefer to be shallow.

Cabbage

We’ll start these at the meeting!

Carrot

These are best planted in the ground so we’ll wait for later.

Kale

We’ll start these at the meeting!
