Holiday Baking

It might be 2019 but it's never too late to look back at last year, right? Anyways, way back in December, we had another very successful baking meeting as we made some apple crisp! Prior to this meeting, we made a lot of apple pies using gleaned apples that were given to us by LocalShare (if you don't know, gleaned apples are apples that aren't sold because they have some defect in appearance but are still perfectly edible). We still had a bunch of apples leftover so they were put into use for these apple crisps :) A huge shout out and thank you to those who brought in ingredients such as lemon juice, oatmeal, and butter. Without your donations, this meeting would not have been the success that it was!
