Update: Week#4.5 But...

It is technically a combination update post of week 3 and 4, however as it is Sunday, I'm awfully close to week 5. It's kind of a frightening thought that we're already almost at 5 weeks since we first planted the seeds and I may or may not delay the post for this actual week depending on what happens. The seedlings are doing amazing!!!!! Not every single one of them has sprouted, but a decent amount has.

Broccoli & Cauliflower

Tomato

Pepper & Lettuce

Kale & Brussel Sprout

Don't they look amazing {:D}

The second picture is all tomato since you guys can't see the label with the way I took the picture. All of them are growing splendidly, although quite noticeably, there are some gaps where the seeds simply did not sprout. I think that for the majority of them, it is simply a by chance thing, we may need to split apart some of the bigger groups just so they do not strangle each other for water.

If you look at the lettuce, you can see that none of them grew in the degradable containers. Weird isn't it? In this scenario, I personally think that the seeds just don't like the container because they grew just fine in the plastic containers. FUTURE GARDENERS MAKE A NOTE, unless further evidence is gathered, only grow lettuce in the plastic containers! I do not know if this applies to any other seeds, but for now, degradable containers are blacklisted for growing lettuce!

On another note, we have a HOPE meeting this upcoming Tuesday. At this meeting, be prepared for some gardening! There are roots poking out of the bottom of some of the containers and you know what that means! We need to move them to bigger containers. Roots are how plants intake water and other nutrients so we want them to be able to have access to those vital substances. That's also probably where we will split apart some of the bigger clumps of plant.

Until Next Time!!

{I didn't go back through to edit so I'm sorry in advance for any grammar mistakes, weird phrasings, or overly repetitive words. I will not, however, apologize for the excess of exclamation points!!!!}
